Three arrested over weekend

On Saturday, June 21, 2014, Carrollton Police Officers and Carroll County Sheriff’s Deputies served four Caldwell County warrants for Adam Melton’s arrest. All warrants were for failure to appear in court or pay fines as agreed, with a combined bond of $1,000 cash only. Melton was transported to the Ray County Detention Center for extradition.
Also on Saturday, a CPD officer was dispatched to BP Amoco in reference to a trespassing subject. The officer located the individual, Alando Harker, on East Benton Street. When the officer attempted to affect an arrest, Harker assaulted the officer, who deployed oleoresin capsicum spray. Harker fled on foot. After a short manhunt involving three CPD officers and three CCSO deputies, Harker was taken into custody on suspicion of trespassing, assaulting a police officer, and resisting arrest. Harker was transported to the Ray County Detention Center and is being held on a $10,000 cash or corporate surety bond.
On Sunday, June 22, 2014, a CPD officer was dispatched to assist the CCSO with an individual walking down East Benton Street. During the contact, David Melton began cursing in public with bystanders nearby. Melton was arrested on suspicion of using indecent language in public and resisting arrest. Melton was transported to CPD for processing, and subsequently released on summons to appear in court.
